  1. Hi Yawatta- We are living in two different literary worlds, but I so appreciate your passion for writing. You are so well defined in your vision – I am the typical ADD scatter brain- lol. Interesting that you gravitate toward fiction & romance, yet I land squarely in the land of reality and day to day drama.

I love working with words- and hate the ‘details’ of words, spelling & grammar. It is clear that I would benefit from a finer mind scanning my work from time to time and tossing out some constructive comments. I would be honored if you would check in on me from time to time. Thanks- Renee

  2. Great!!! Thanks for reading Prayer for all Seasons.

I’ll email you at your email address since I am better at email than blogs!
    🙂

    • Hey K-
You’re welcome. I really enjoyed the book. Since last talking to you, I recently joined a local writer’s group in Charles Town, and I even found a writing buddy (the group only meets once a month).

Good luck with your next novel and looking forward to your email.

      Keep smiling,
      Yawatta

  3. Hi Yawatta,

Thanks so much for liking my latest post on “How to use online review sites.” I appreciate it.

It’s always nice to meet a fellow writer and book lover. I tend toward marketing and technology books. My ‘guilty pleasure’ is reading mysteries.

Have you considered doing book reviews on Amazon to get more exposure?

Best of luck in your quest to get published.

    Nancy

    • Hey Nancy,
I’m a huge fan of Agatha Christie’s novels. Actually, last week I signed up for goodreads to post my book reviews on there. And, the only time I’ve been on amazon is when an author asked me to include my book review for them on that site. But, I did fill out my profile page on amazon (it’s silly on my part that I never even noticed it before LOL) and went on a forum where they were discussing how to approach book reviewers.

From that, I received an author asking me to do a book review for him. So yeah, I will definitely consider adding all my book reviews on amazon as well.

Thank you for wishing me luck!

      Keep smiling,
      Yawatta

  4. Hi Yawatta, I enjoyed reading your post today! I am also an unpublished writer with swirling dreams of seeing my name in print. I particularly liked your post on critiques. If you get a chance check out my blog site at scauthor.blogspot(dot com). I am a lover a Thriller, horror, YA, crime fiction and any yarn that weaves a good tale.. Favorite authors: Stephen King(who’s isn’t?), Dean Koontz, Michael Connelly to name a few.. If you would ever like to guest blog or just comment, I would welcome it. Thanks, Thomas C.

    • Hey Shawn,
Thanks for enjoying my blog. I’ll definitely check out yours; if you don’t see my comments, it may be because for some reason blogspot doesn’t let me comment (maybe because I’m on wordpress?).

It’s cool that you write thriller, horror, crime fiction–I tried my hand in that and really enjoyed it. Maybe I could learn a thing or two from you. And, thanks for offering me to guest blog. May have to take you up on that offer.

      Keep smiling,
      Yawatta

Do you have an account on Critique Circle? It’s a free forum for writers to meet, chat, critique one another’s writing, and share tips/pointers. If you join, watch for me. I go by esparhawk on CC. I’m an agented writer.

    • Hey Mrs. Webmaster,
No I don’t have an account with Critique Circle. I heard it’s a really cool site though. Maybe once I catch up on all these book reviews, I’ll have time for social media again. If I ever sign up for the site, then I’ll look for you 🙂

      Keep smiling,
      Yawatta

    • Hey Kev,

Thanks for the encouragement. I write fiction but am also trying to become a freelance writer and screenplay writer. Keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll get that yes 🙂

      Keep smiling,
      Yawatta

  6. Hello Yawatta,

I am reaching out to you because of your trusted commitment to Amazon and its reviews. I represent Author Marketing Ideas and we were created to help the self-published and small print authors maximize their marketing outreach to increase sales. I’m assisting an author to extend their readership. Would you be so kind as to help me?

I visited your Amazon link – https://www.amazon.com/gp/profile/amzn1.account.AHM7YAZO645CQTG3ZPXEQGEOJ5TQ/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_gw_btm?ie=UTF8 and I also went through some of your reviews (‘The Shining’, ‘Miscalculated Risks’). I loved the writing and the clarity of expression of thoughts therein. The text is devoid of jargons or heavy vocabulary, seems easy to the mind, and yet at the same time conveys the intended message precisely.

    ——————————

The book which I need to be reviewed is titled “Conversations with the Living and the Dead” and which is authored by Patrick Conley. It is a wonderful literature fiction where the troubled protagonist Peter Stonehouse, while watching reruns of zombie flicks has a late-night visitor from his childhood visiting him and what happens after that.

It’s of 256 pages and some of its sample pages can be read on the Amazon link here:

    ——————————

Do tell me if you would be interested in reviewing the book – I would genuinely love to know your thoughts about it. I would like to have your opinion about the content, the depth on the subject, the utility value or anything else. If you would, I’ll gladly get you a PDF copy sent to your email address right away. In case you prefer a hard copy, do offer me your mailing address and I shall have the author send you a copy immediately.

Finally, I would like to state humbly that I take pride in my work. I would be obliged if you write back, even if to decline my review request.

    Warm regards,

    • Hi Sanjay,

How are you? Good luck with “Conversations With the Living Dead.” I don’t think I’d be a good fit because I don’t read literary fiction. I mostly stick with horror, suspense, and mystery because they’re fast reads.

      Keep smiling,
      Yawatta
