The Weekend Writing Warriors is an awesome site that allows writers to share their 8 to 10 sentence excerpts, published or unpublished, to the blogosphere. If you’d like to join or would like to read wonderful talent, please visit the WeWriWa website on Sunday, 5/24 http://wewriwa.blogspot.com.
I’m sharing my work-in-progress of a serial killer torturing a college campus with urban legends.
Here’s my excerpt:
…I’m not even a bad guy. I only kill with urban legends for true authentic research. After my future novel becomes a bestseller, I’ll have no reason to ever kill again. I promise. I cared for Savannah, but she had to go. When I stuffed her body in the hotel mattress, I knew there was no going back on the plan. I’m just lucky the smell didn’t disgust the hotel guests or staff. I’ve already cleaned the room and returned my key. No more hiding bodies. I want this town to be scared shitless.
That’s the end of this week’s snippet. If you’d like to read more, I’m ending this chapter and introducing what happens in the morning. Main characters, Wayne and Wilk (roommates) are introduced to you guys.
I need to see true reactions of these crazy crimes, so I can make sure my side characters in my novel act appropriately. I want this situation as realistic as possible for my readers.

Wayne woke to a blood curdling scream. He jolted out of bed; his feet slipped on the carpet, but he caught himself before he could fall. He thought he was having a nightmare. When he saw Wilk rubbing sleep snot from his eyes, looking afraid, Wayne knew he was awake.
He asked, “Is that Elena?”
Keep smiling,
