For my story, it’s the ending of Sequoia thoughts, then Perry’s point-of-view is back!!! Imagine seeing your significant other for the first time since she broke your heart…

Here’s my excerpt:

The suitcases were heavy; if she hadn’t messed up, then Perry would be there to help. She sighed, holding back tears. What if the cast shunned her, making her an outsider? At least she knew she’d always have Kenley.

* * * *

Perry glanced down at his watch: where was she? It was almost time to board the flight and Sequoia still wasn’t there. He was sandwiched between Colin and Melody, who kept bashing Sequoia, trying to make Perry feel better, but only making him feel worse. Why couldn’t they sit in silence and let him think?

Here’s my excerpt on my story about a celebrity scandal:

“Sequoia, are you nervous about seeing Perry? Will you two get along for the sake of promoting your movie? Or do you think you’ll fight like cats and dogs, that whole sexual tension thing?”

“Perry and I are professionals. I’m confident that we’ll be able to get along, at least act civil when the cameras are rolling.” Sequoia swallowed a knot in her throat. Hopefully, she would be right.

She answered a few more questions, then they headed to the front door of the airport, escorted by Kenley’s boyfriend.

Here’s my excerpt:

Paparazzi stepped closer, trapping the three of them against the car. They hardly had space to open the trunk to get their belongings out. Paparazzi screamed Sequoia’s name as though she was a far distance away, not standing only two inches away from them.

“Sequoia, have you read the Gossip Reel article yet? If so, what do you have to say about it?”

Kenley said, “Gossip Reel should be ashamed of themselves, picking on a young girl like that. All women should be disappointed that they called Sequoia a whore in the title. Expect that from men–maybe: but from women–that’s despicable…”

Here’s my excerpt:

“Sequoia?” Kenley asked with concern.

“I’m fine, let’s go.”

“I’ll block them from you two. Just say ‘no comment’ to everything they ask, Sequoia,” Kenley’s boyfriend said.

“No, I’ll answer some of their questions. The world can only speculate what happened and it’ll stay that way unless I speak up to tell my side of the story. If they’re going to form an opinion about me, then I’d rather they hear the whole truth.” She wiped a tear from her eye, opening the car door; Kenley and her boyfriend followed suit.

Here’s my excerpt:

They hadn’t seen each other or talked on the phone since the executive meeting.

Would he avoid her, could he even look at her, how would her Hollywood family treat her? Naturally, they’d probably pick sides; who was she kidding–they’d definitely pick sides. Of course, they’d be around Perry most of the time, especially if he acted like a wounded puppy.

Echo, she didn’t even get to say good-bye or even got a say in what kennel he’d be staying in. No matter what happened between Sequoia and Perry, they’d have to come to terms that they were parents to Echo. They’d have to plan a visitation schedule. Even though she was in the wrong, she wasn’t willing to give up on their dog that easily.

Here’s my excerpt:

Kenley grabbed her friend’s hand again, “You ready?”

Sequoia took a deep breath. It wasn’t really the paparazzi she was worried about.  This magazine article had managed to rip her a new one, and there was nothing she could do. Just like she couldn’t do anything to prevent photos being taken of her or her words to be taken out of context. No, she didn’t worry about them. She didn’t know how Perry would treat her. That scared her the most.

Here’s my excerpt from my celebrity scandal story. The cast of Remember Me is at the airport, ready to go on their international promotional tour. Sequoia is nervous because she hasn’t seen her Hollywood family in a while and a magazine just ripped her to shreds. Here goes:

“Holy shit, are they all here for you? They act like you’re the Royal family or something.”

“You’re dating a Queen; it’s about time you realize it,” Kenley teased while shifting her body to peak at her boyfriend.

“You want me to walk you two to the gates?”

Sequoia and Kenley shared a look, “Please baby,” Kenley answered.

Her boyfriend nodded; Sequoia ran her fingers over her ponytail ; she hadn’t recognized Diego through the flashing lights, but she caught a glimpse of another TMZ paparazzi–a female. She’d probably rip Sequoia to shreds. It was definitely a good idea that he was tagging along as a bodyguard.
